Description: 2 Caterpillar 3520C Reciprocating engines that produce 3.2 MW to Duke Power Carolinas grid.
Scope of Work:
- All planning, permitting, engineering, contracts and installation were completed by EPS
- Enerdyne Power Systems (EPS) built the complete gas collection system
- EPS built and installed the blower and flare skid
- EPS assisted in developing and installing the proprietary landfill gas treatment skid
- Implemented an onsite and remote dial-up SCADA monitoring system
- Installed remote access carbon monitoring system
- Installation of dual 3520 Caterpillar gen-sets
- Permitting right-of-way and installation of three phase power line
- 3.2 megawatt power connection to local utility; Duke Energy
Noteworthy: EPA LMOP 2008 Electric Project of the Year and this was the first project to
validate, verify, and trade carbon on the VCS Voluntary Carbon Standard.
