Advanced Biogas Systems is a provider of customized processing equipment for the Biogas industry. ABS began informal operations in 2008 modifying and building equipment for Enerdyne Power Systems. In 2012, ABS launched its independent Asheville, North Carolina location, offering a wide range of biogas treatment systems including:

What is Advanced Biogas Systems?

Leadership

Steve Allman

Director of Operations

Steve has over ten years of biogas processing, treatment and power generation experience and has assisted with the design, setup and implementation of dozens of end use and power generation projects. Steve currently manages the day to day operations of Advanced Biogas Systems as its Director of Operations. Steve is also the Technical Director for the Landfill Group where he assists in the training and technical support, and works on new project development. Mr. Allman has 17 years of experience in Plant Management, Process and Product Design Engineering with Perfection Gear, Inc., and seven years of experience as a manufacturing Process Engineer / Product Design engineer with Carolina Knife Inc.  He holds multiple industry qualifications and certifications and has been a licensed North Carolina electrician since 1987.

Terry Reno

Manufacturing Manager

By the age of 12 Terry Reno had already started his career, earning spending money by welding and fabricating equipment for local farmers near his home in rural Michigan. During his high school years, he learned to work on cars and motorcycles, including structural and body work. Mr. Reno attended Michigan Technological University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering in 1983, and continuing his education at the postgraduate level with a focus on the structural strength of materials. Since then, Mr. Reno has enjoyed a long and successful career in Manufacturing, Quality Control, Engineering and IT. Mr. Reno also holds a US Patent for his bracket designs.

Mike Fenton

Director of Sales and Project Delivery

Mike is responsible for oversight of sales and project delivery for the Company and its operating divisions. Prior to joining the Landfill Group in 2018, Mike spent over 19 years with Caterpillar in its Michigan CAT dealership where he held many positions in sales and service. His involvement in biogas/RNG dates back to 2007 when he began oversight of sales and long-term operations of landfill gas-to-energy sites for Michigan CAT. In this role Mike oversaw sales and ongoing support for over 300MW of electrical generation from biogas projects across the country.
